Selecting vanilla beans depends on your application, flavor preferences, and budget. Here's a quick guide to help you navigate our collection:
Planifolia — The most widely cultivated species, known for its rich, creamy, classic vanilla flavor. Ideal for general baking, ice cream, and extract production. Our top sellers include Madagascar, Mexico, and Brazil planifolia beans.
Tahitensis — Prized for its floral, fruity, and cherry-like notes. Excellent in custards, pastries, and applications where a more delicate flavor is desired. Available from Ecuador, Cook Islands, and Papua New Guinea.
Pompona — Larger, thicker beans with a bold, spicy, sometimes smoky character. Wonderful in chocolate, dark spirits, and rich desserts. Sourced from Colombia, Peru, and Madagascar.
Madagascar — The world's most popular vanilla origin. Rich, creamy, and balanced with notes of caramel and chocolate. The benchmark for classic vanilla flavor.
Mexico — Where vanilla originated. Complex, spicy, and smoky with a distinctive warmth. Excellent for chocolate pairings and traditional Mexican cuisine.
Brazil — Our certified organic Brazilian beans offer unique terroir-driven flavors across three species: Bahiana, Chamissonis, and Planifolia.
